This year’s ring belongs to the one who finishes the job. It carries the year across its face because a championship deserves to be remembered exactly as it happened: one season, one league, one winner.

There is pride in joining the names already in our history. Bragg. Yoshida. Soto. Sands. Each earned a place that a new season cannot take away. Now there is another place to earn.
